Forms of Psychedelic Life

Sunflower Sutras made its first public appearance at the "Forms of Psychedelic Life" conference on April of 2023. Organized by the UC Berkeley Townsend Center Working Group "Psychedelics, Neuroscience and Religion", this was an "Interdisciplinary Conference Exploring the Intersections of Aesthetics, Ethics, Religion, and Altered States". We presented some of our projects and talked openly about the "Complexities of Documenting Indigenous Knowledge", our own doubts and trepidation about the work we do and how to carry it on.

We got very encouraging feedback, advice and new friendships and alliances for our project. One of these being Ayize Jama-Everett, who we were honored to present along and is currently involved as mentor and guest-speaker for the conference we are putting together for April, 2025 at UC Berkeley.
